This covers haslamproductions.com and our weekly newsletter. It's short because we collect very little. Questions go to [email protected].
What we collect
If you sign up for the newsletter: your email address, the date you signed up, and, if you came from one of our videos, a short label naming that video (like "boost-myth"). The label tells us which videos bring people in. We don't ask for your name.
When you visit the site: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It records the page you viewed, the site that sent you, your browser and device type, and your country. It doesn't set cookies and doesn't follow you to other sites.
If you email us or reply to the newsletter: we keep the email so we can answer it.
Who handles it for us
Buttondown stores the subscriber list and sends the newsletter. Signing up sends one confirmation email, and you must click its link before you're subscribed (double opt-in). Like any email service, Buttondown keeps delivery records and basic details of the signup request, such as IP address, which it uses to block spam signups. Here is Buttondown's privacy policy. We have turned off open and click tracking. Cloudflare hosts this site and runs the visit counter; as the host, it also sees visitors' IP addresses in normal request handling. Google Workspace holds our email inbox.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent your email address, and we don't share it with advertisers. There are no ad-tracking pixels on this site.
Your choices
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. If you'd like your address deleted entirely, email us and we'll remove it within 30 days. After you unsubscribe, Buttondown keeps a note that you did, so you aren't emailed again by mistake.
Kids
The newsletter is written for business owners and isn't meant for anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
